On the day of Carrie and Marco’s Flagstaff Arboretum wedding, I woke up with the feeling that it was going to be a good day. I grabbed my equipment and as I ran out the door, the warmth of the sun reassured me that this wedding was going to be nothing but perfect. Their wedding took place in September at the lush Flagstaff Arboretum. The venue provided a whimsical and delicate setting that created the perfect environment for the beautiful couple.

Carrie and Marco’s are two people who are full of light. They were a joy to photograph because capturing their love was so effortless. As the bride and groom exchanged some lighthearted vows, I felt as if I knew them for a very long time. Carrie made me laugh when she talked about realizing how much she loved Marcos when she watched him carefully craft the perfect pie, but then also made me cry when they talked about their hopes, dreams and sharing their lives together. Carrie and Marcos share something so special, and it was apparent that their love for each other even touched friends and family in the crowd. The ceremony was wonderful to shoot as well- nothing can beat an amazing backdrop of the San Francisco Peaks, especially when Fall was right around the corner.

Congratulations to Carrie and Marcos! Thank you for having us, and I hope you two are enjoying whiskey on the front porch living the happiest life together.
